World Autistic Pride Day

The Autistic pride day is celebrated globally – it celebrates the neurodiversity for people on the autistic spectrum.

The aim of the day is to remove the stigma of “disease” to “difference” and allow all individuals to normalise and accept the uniqueness of some.

In 2005 different organisations began to plan the World Autistic Pride day to spread awareness. It is ran by individuals that have some traits of autism which gives them greater advantage to understand the differences with autism and the affects it has on every day to day life. But, more importantly help others on how they deal with day to day challenges and how they can adapt and share their experiences on how to deal with traits such as repetitiveness which some people may show.
