12th May 2023
International nurses day is celebrated annually around the 12th of May every year – this is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale and it led by the international council
Each year the theme changes to focus on certain points through nursing carers. This year is highlighted by “Our Nurses, our future”
This years highlighted theme is to look what is required and what is needed for and of our nurses to adapt to the global health changes going forward.
It is a day to reflect on how our Nurses help us day in day out. From community, to GP Surgery nurses, nurse assistants to hospital staff nurses.
“The ‘Our Nurses. Our Future.’ campaign will shine the light on nurses and on a brighter future, moving nurses from invisible to invaluable in the eyes of policy makers, the public, and all those who make decisions affecting the delivery and financing of health care.” Pamela Ciparino
