The EA service has been put into place to help patients from the Surgeries that form the PCN to book more accessible appointments out of standard working hours.
This allows any patient needing a routine appointment to look after their health whilst missing no time off work.
The PCN is continuing to grow to enable the EA to be more flexible with varied appointments with all clinicians rather than just GP’s and ANP’s. A receptionist will be able to inform you of Practice Nurse appointments which allow you to book routine appointments from cervical screening to sutures removals. Pharmacists will be able to do more convenient telephone calls to review your medication without you having to take time off work or coming to the Surgery
