03.07.2023 – #youarenotalone #nationalbereavedparentsday
The day was set up back in 2020 by the Chairty – A Child of Mine. The Charity acknowledged the taboo of bereaved parents and the lack of support parents receive during one of the toughest experiences they will ever go through.
The aim of the day is to remove and spread the awareness that unfortunately child death is real and to unite the parents of those who are suffering the loss of a child. By removing the taboo of this unfortunate reality it will help us all to support help and guide those affected through conversations, fund raising and meetings.
Although this specific day has been chosen to raise awareness, there are many events going out through different points of the year. You can organise, help or support these events within your area.
To join in from your own home, please join the UK in lighting a candle at 7pm on 3rd July 2023 to remember the children and babies who lost their lives too soon and to remember the parents suffering their tragic loss
