Cervical Screening Awareness Week

23rd – 29th January focuses on Cervical Screening, find any problems before it becomes cancer. We invite women from the age of 25 for this test to help prevent Cancer. Find out today when you can book your appointment by contacting the surgery.

The link above gives you the signs/symptoms of Cervical Cancer. Having one or more of these symptoms does not mean you have Cervical Cancer but it is always best to get checked out and speak to a clinician about your concerns.

Although, the test can be daunting to women of all ages, the test only takes around 1 to 2 minutes of the 10 minute appointment. The Nurse or Doctor carrying out the test will more often than not be a female who will be able to advise and answer any of your questions.
