Who is eligible for the vaccine?
From 1st September 2023 the vaccination programme will be offered to the following;
- Healthy patients between 70 and 79 years old who have NOT had the vaccination before
- People aged 50 years and older who have a severely weakened immune system
- People aged between 60 and 70 will become eligible in the coming years when they hit 65 or 70
Shingles will be offered to everyone until they turn 80. The sooner you get the vaccination the sooner you are protected.
